ZWARTPAART
Vibe Stalpaert (°1998, Bruges, BE) lives and works in Ghent (BE). She studied photography (2016-2019) and completed her MA in Film at Sint-Lukas Brussels. (2020-2023) Her practice unfolds from a conceptual engagement with the medium itself, investigating how images are formed, perceived, and experienced. Working at the intersection of photography and film, she embraces analogue techniques while recontextualizing them through contemporary ideas.
Central to her work is how we perceive and interact with our environment. Nature, materiality, light, and time are not merely subjects but active participants in the image-making process. By confronting slow processes within our high-speed society, her work creates a sensorial experience that encourages stillness.
